2. What MeMorees does
MeMorees is an app for iPhone, iPad and other Apple devices that turns your photos and videos into short memory films cut to music. This notice explains what data we process, where it lives and what rights you have under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 ("GDPR").
3. Data that stays on your device and your iCloud
The core of MeMorees works without uploading your content to our servers:
- Photos and videos you pick for a Memoree stay on the device; image analysis for automatic editing runs on-device.
- Saved Memorees (videos, covers, rhythms, associated songs, memory places) are stored in the private iCloud database of your Apple account (CloudKit). We have no access to it.
- Sharing with friends uses Apple's CloudKit sharing: content travels iCloud-to-iCloud, not through our servers.
- The location of your memories (for the Map and proximity notifications) is computed and kept on the device and in your private iCloud.
4. Data processed on our servers
For account and social features we process, on our own servers (Railway infrastructure, EU/US):

We do no advertising tracking, we do not sell data to third parties and we do not use your data for cross-app profiling.
5. Service providers (data processors)
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, iCloud/CloudKit, Apple Music, push notifications, in-app purchases.
- Twilio — sending the verification SMS: it receives the number only to deliver the code, under its own privacy notice.
- Railway — hosting for the API and the database.
- Anthropic — for automatic editing with AI the app sends song metadata (title, genre, duration) and textual descriptors of the content you chose. Never your photos or your videos.
6. Apple Music and songs
If you connect Apple Music, playback happens through your own subscription and Apple's APIs; we do not keep your listening history. The songs included in exported videos come from the built-in royalty-free library or from files you already own.
7. Retention
Account data is kept for as long as the account exists. You can delete the account yourself from the app (Settings → Profile → Delete account): this removes your profile, phone hash, friendships and usage data from our servers. Content in your private iCloud stays under your control and is managed from the iCloud settings on your device.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (art. 15-22 GDPR), as well as the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali). Write to development@memorees.me: we reply within 30 days.
9. Children
MeMorees is not intended for children under 14 and does not knowingly collect their data. Access requires a valid Apple ID.
10. Changes
Material changes to this notice will be published on this page with a new last-updated date.

2. Cosa fa MeMorees
MeMorees è un'app per iPhone, iPad e altri dispositivi Apple che trasforma le tue foto e i tuoi video in brevi video-ricordo montati a tempo di musica. Questa informativa descrive quali dati trattiamo, dove risiedono e quali diritti hai, ai sensi del Regolamento (UE) 2016/679 ("GDPR").
3. Dati che restano sul tuo dispositivo e sul tuo iCloud
Il cuore di MeMorees funziona senza caricare i tuoi contenuti sui nostri server:
- Foto e video che scegli per un Memoree restano sul dispositivo; l'analisi delle immagini per il montaggio automatico avviene on-device.
- I Memoree salvati (video, copertine, ritmi, brani associati, luoghi dei ricordi) sono archiviati nel database privato iCloud del tuo account Apple (CloudKit). Noi non vi abbiamo accesso.
- La condivisione con gli amici avviene tramite CloudKit sharing di Apple: il contenuto passa da iCloud a iCloud, non dai nostri server.
- La posizione dei ricordi (per la Mappa e le notifiche di prossimità) è calcolata e conservata sul dispositivo e nel tuo iCloud privato.

Per le funzioni sociali e di account trattiamo, su server nostri (infrastruttura Railway, UE/USA):

Non facciamo tracciamento pubblicitario, non vendiamo dati a terzi e non usiamo i tuoi dati per profilazione cross-app.
5. Fornitori di servizi (responsabili del trattamento)
- Apple — Accedi con Apple, iCloud/CloudKit, Apple Music, notifiche push, acquisti in-app.
- Twilio — invio dell'SMS di verifica del numero: riceve il numero solo per la consegna del codice, secondo la sua informativa.
- Railway — hosting dell'API e del database.
- Anthropic — per il montaggio automatico con AI l'app invia metadati del brano (titolo, genere, durata) e descrittori testuali dei contenuti scelti. Mai le tue foto o i tuoi video.
6. Apple Music e brani musicali
Se colleghi Apple Music, la riproduzione avviene tramite il tuo abbonamento e le API di Apple; non conserviamo la tua cronologia musicale. I brani inclusi nei video esportati provengono dalla libreria royalty-free integrata o da file di cui disponi.
7. Conservazione
I dati dell'account restano finché l'account esiste. Puoi eliminare l'account in autonomia dall'app (Impostazioni → Profilo → Elimina account): la cancellazione rimuove profilo, hash del telefono, amicizie e dati d'uso dai nostri server. I contenuti nel tuo iCloud privato restano sotto il tuo controllo e si gestiscono dalle impostazioni iCloud del dispositivo.
8. I tuoi diritti
Hai diritto di accesso, rettifica, cancellazione, limitazione, portabilità e opposizione (artt. 15-22 GDPR), oltre al reclamo al Garante per la protezione dei dati personali. Scrivi a development@memorees.me: rispondiamo entro 30 giorni.
9. Minori
MeMorees non è destinata a minori di 14 anni e non ne raccoglie consapevolmente i dati. L'accesso richiede un ID Apple valido.
10. Modifiche
Le modifiche sostanziali a questa informativa saranno pubblicate su questa pagina con nuova data di aggiornamento.
